EDI series
Created for post-secondary instructors in Manitoba, this training aims to enhance the understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the post-secondary teaching context and provide strategies and teaching techniques for advancing EDI in teaching and learning.
Over a several-year period, MB Hub created these six EDI modules upon request from the Flexible Learning Advisory Group representing six post-secondary institutions in Manitoba – Assiniboine Community College, Brandon University, University College of the North, Red River College, University of Winnipeg, and University of Manitoba.
These self-paced learning models are designed for post-secondary faculty and staff in Manitoba. Many MB Hub partners are hosting these learning modules on their internal LMS for faculty use. Unfortunately, some partners have faced delays in offering these learning modules due to technical or organizational issues, which is why MB Hub is posting links to the first four OER Pressbook versions, so they are available to all post-secondary staff in Manitoba.
These pressbooks contain the original learning module content and include supplemental materials, activities, and resources to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Each pressbook in the series can be used independently or as part of a coordinated learning experience. All books are openly licensed and freely available to download, adapt, and share.
These pressbooks are part of an open educational resource (OER) series developed to support learners and educators in equity, diversity, and inclusion. The two remaining modules should be sent to partner institutions in Winter 25/26 and a Pressbook version hosted here by Spring 25/26.

Pedagogy
